The Philippine
Unit Investment Trust Funds showed a very strong performance with most trust funds
closing the month of January on positive investment returns.
Equity and
Balanced trust funds displayed the best performance among the fund
classifications. This can be associated with the growing confidence by
investors investing in the equity market. The bullish trend in the stock market
still lingers although skeptics shows concerns that a major correction will be
coming soon.
Among us
UITF investors, it would be smarter to diversify our portfolio into a balanced
mix to buffer our investments once the trend goes the other way around.
